106 years ago today, on March 2, 1919 (February 1, 1919 in the lunar calendar), the Third International was established. After the outbreak of the First World War, the Second International declared bankruptcy. Lenin carried out a series of work to unite the revolutionary leftists of various countries and establish the Third International. The victory of the October Revolution in Russia, the development of revolutionary movements in various countries, and the establishment of communist parties in various countries further laid the foundation for the emergence of the Third International. From March 2 to 6, 1919, under the direct leadership of Lenin, the International Conference of Communist Representatives was held in Moscow with representatives of workers 'parties from 30 countries. At the meeting, the "Declaration of the Communist International","Program of Action of the Communist International" and "Outline on Bourgeois Democracy and Proletarian Dictatorship" drafted by Lenin were adopted, declaring the establishment of the Third International. The task of the Third International is to promote Marxism, unite the working class and the broad masses of working people in all countries, and fight to overthrow imperialism and capitalist rule, establish the dictatorship of the proletariat, and eliminate the exploitation system. The Third International criticized all kinds of opportunism and defended Marxism-Leninism, helped the predecessors of the working class in various countries form revolutionary Marxist parties, and helped the Communist Parties of various countries cultivate groups of capable cadres. Support the Soviet Union, the world's first socialist country, support the liberation movements of oppressed nations in Eastern countries, and fight against international fascism. With the development of the international communist movement, proceeding from the principle of combining Marxism-Leninism with the specific practice of revolutions in various countries, and considering that the original organizational form could no longer adapt to the requirements of the new situation, with the unanimous consent of the Communist Parties of various countries, the Third International was officially dissolved in June 1943. Historically, the Third International was generally called the "Communist International".
