Thirty years ago today, on April 24, 1995 (March 25, 1995 lunar calendar), Kong Fansen was posthumously recognized as a national advanced worker. Kong Fansen, the former secretary of the Ali Local Committee of the Communist Party of China, went to Tibet twice in 1979 and 1988. During his work in the Ali area, he traveled across mountains, deep valleys, grasslands, visited Tibetan compatriots, and conducted in-depth investigation and research. He ran 98 out of 106 townships in the region, laying a solid foundation for formulating a blueprint for building a new Ali. On November 29, 1994, he was unfortunately killed in a car accident at the age of 50. The people called him "Lei Feng in the new era" and "Jiao Yulu in the 1990s". According to regulations, cadres above the deputy bureau level do not participate in the national advanced worker selection, but the National Labor Model and Advanced Producer Commendation Conference Preparatory Committee believes that Kong Fansen went to Tibet twice, which lasted ten years, established deep feelings with the Tibetan people, and made outstanding contributions to the construction, development and stability of Xizang. After reporting to the State Council for approval, Kong Fansen was posthumously recognized as a national advanced worker.
