106 years ago today, on March 29th, 1919 (February 28th, 1919 in the lunar calendar), American scientists predicted that rocket landing on the moon would be possible. On March 29, 1919, according to a monograph published by R-H-Goddard, a professor of physics at Cara University in Massachusetts, rocket travel to the moon will one day be possible. Goddard has been experimenting with rockets since 1909. Just before the armistice last year, he used a model to demonstrate it to the army. Goddard's moon travel advice is being ridiculed by some newspapers, who call him the "Moon Man".
