On this day, 34 years ago, May 2, 1991 (March 18, 1991, the lunar calendar), Peng Dehuai's wife Pu Anxiu passed away. Pu Anxiu was born in Jiading, Shanghai and was born in Beijing in 1918. In her youth, she participated in the "December 9th" patriotic student movement that shocked China and foreign countries. In 1936, she participated in the Chinese National Liberation Vanguard and the Women's National Salvation Association, and engaged in anti-Japanese and national salvation activities. In the same year, he joined the Communist Party of China. During the Anti-Japanese War, she was sent by the party to go to the Anti-Japanese Front in Shanxi to participate in organizing mass armed training and military political work. In April 1938, she went to Yan 'an and served as a women's officer of the Party Branch of the Northern Shaanxi Public School and a training class secretary of the Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee. In November 1938, he went to the Shanxi Anti-Japanese Front again and made contributions to the defense and consolidation of the Anti-Japanese Base Areas. In the autumn of 1943, she returned to Yan 'an and served as a researcher at the Central Women's Commission. During the War of Liberation, she successively participated in the Longdong Land Reform Working Group in the Shaanxi-Gansu-Ningxia Border Region and the Northwest Shanxi Land Reform Working Group. Later, he worked at the Northwest Field Army Command. After the liberation of the country, she obeyed organizational distribution and successively served as deputy secretary of the Party Committee of the State-owned Enterprise of the Northwest Bureau, deputy director of the Technical Department of the Ministry of Textile Industry, and director of the Labor and Wage Department of the Ministry of Light Industry. In 1957, she was transferred to Beijing Normal University, where she successively served as director of the Department of Political Education, secretary of the Party Branch, and deputy secretary of the school Party Committee. As the wife of Comrade Peng Dehuai, after Comrade Peng Dehuai was wrongly criticized, she was implicated and removed from the post of deputy secretary of the party committee, and was unfairly treated in the political life of the party. Especially during the "Cultural Revolution", Pu Anxiu was listed as a key target of criticism by the whole school and suffered persecution. However, she took the overall situation into account, was open-minded, endured humiliation, and withstood severe tests. She is worthy of being a strong female comrade in our party. It was not until after the Third Plenary Session of the Eleventh Central Committee of the Communist Party of China that she was completely rehabilitated and restored to her post as deputy secretary of the school party committee. After the Party Central Committee rehabilitated Comrade Peng Dehuai, she actively assisted in organizing the rehabilitation of the unjust case implicated by Comrade Peng Dehuai and did a lot of specific work. She participated in the collection of historical materials of Comrade Peng Dehuai and visited veteran party members, veteran cadres, and old landlords in the old base area. Under her supervision, she compiled the biographies and materials written by Comrade Peng Dehuai during the censorship and "Cultural Revolution" period into the book "Peng Dehuai's Self-Statement", which truly and vividly reproduces Comrade Peng Dehuai's glorious life and provides precious historical materials for traditional education to the younger generation. She also donated part of the salary reissued after Comrade Peng Dehuai's rehabilitation and the contribution of "Peng Dehuai's Self-Statement" to the schools in Comrade Peng Dehuai's hometown and Zuoquan County and Wuxiang County to build school buildings and purchase books, and donated her contribution to the Primary and Secondary School Preschool Teachers Foundation. He died in Beijing on May 2, 1991.
