On March 12, 2003 (February 10, 2003 in the lunar calendar), the Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia, Zoran Dinjic, was assassinated and killed. Serbian Prime Minister Zoran Djindjic was shot in front of the Belgrade government building on March 12. He was taken to the hospital and died of his injuries. The government of the Republic of Serbia issued a statement on the 12th saying that the assassination of Serbian Prime Minister Djindjic was planned by a gang led by the former commander of Serbia's special police forces. Zoran Dinjic was born on August 1, 1952 in Shamac, Bosnia and grew up in a strict military family. Graduated from the Department of Philosophy at the University of Belgrade and received a doctorate in philosophy from Konstanz, Germany. In 1989, he returned to China to join the founding of the Democratic Party. From February to September 1997, he served as mayor of Belgrade. Djindjic has been appointed Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia since January 25, 2001. Former President Slobodan Milosevic was extradited to the International Tribunal for War of the Former Yugoslavia in The Hague on June 28, 2001. Dinjic is a talented person who speaks German and English.
