On this day, 97 years ago, March 30, 1928 (February 9, 1928, the lunar calendar), Mao Zedong strictly ruled the army. On March 30, 1928, Mao Zedong led the Workers and Peasants Revolutionary Army to Shatian, eastern Guangxi, and promulgated the "Three Major Disciplines and Six Points for Attention." Later, it developed into "Three Major Disciplines and Eight Points for Attention." It was re-promulgated in 1947. The three major disciplines are: first, obey orders in all actions; second, do not take a needle from the masses; 3. All seized must be returned to the public. The eight points of note are: 1.
