On January 1, 1948, the Chinese Kuomintang Revolutionary Committee was officially established in Hong Kong. At the same time, it issued a manifesto, clearly proposing "to overthrow Chiang Kai-shek's traitorous dictatorship and realize China's independence, democracy and peace".

In September 1949, he participated in the first plenary session of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, participated in the formulation of the common program, and took the common program and the constitution as his political program. After the reform and opening up, the People's Revolution shifted the focus of its work to socialist modernization. The People's Revolution gave full play to its own characteristics and advantages, centering on serving socialist construction and focusing on promoting the reunification of the motherland. It carried out various work and achieved remarkable results.

The development members of the "Kuomintang Revolutionary Committee" are people with connections to the former Kuomintang, people with historical and social connections, people with connections to people from all walks of life in Taiwan, and other objects. They focus on absorbing representative middle and upper class people and middle and senior intellectuals among them. In addition to Taiwan and Xizang, the "Kuomintang Revolutionary Committee" has established organizations in 30 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities, with more than 53,000 party members.
