The birth of Jinnah, the "father of the nation" of Pakistan

On December 25, 1876, Jinnah, the father of Pakistan, was born

On December 25, 1876, Jinnah was born into a merchant's family in Karachi. He qualified as a lawyer in England at the age of 18. Two years later, he returned to India and soon became a well-known lawyer in the Bombay area. In 1896, he began to engage in political activities and joined the Indian Congress Party. In 1913, he joined the All India Muslim League. In 1921, he broke with the Congress Party due to political differences. In the late 1930s and early 1940s, the Indian National Liberation Movement had a new upsurge. At the same time, due to differences in history, religion, language and culture, the call for an independent state of 90 million Muslims was also growing stronger. Jinnah actively participated in this struggle. Under the leadership of his organization, the All India Muslim League became the most influential political organization among Indian Muslims. From March 22 to 24, 1940, the All India Muslim League held a meeting in Lahore under the auspices of Jinnah and passed the historic Pakistan Resolution. On March 23 of the same year, Jinnah announced at a gathering of 100,000 Muslims from all over India that "independent and sovereign states should be established in the two Muslim-majority areas of northwest and east India (now Bangladesh)." Later, this day became Pakistan's National Day.

In order to establish Pakistan, the All India Muslim League, headed by Jinnah, had to fight against the colonialists who tried to maintain its rule on the one hand, and on the other hand, to resolve some disputes between the two major ethnic groups of India and the Muslims, and to eliminate some differences of opinion within the Muslim community. The task was very complex and arduous. At this time, Jinnah, despite his old age and infirmity, traveled all over India to mobilize and organize the Muslim masses. As Jinnah said: "No force in the world can prevent the establishment of Pakistan." Under the attack of India and the Muslim national liberation movement, British colonial rule finally collapsed. On August 14, 1947, Pakistan declared independence, and Jinnah became the first president of Pakistan. On September 11, 1948, Jinnah died of illness due to hard work.

Key words: December 25, 1876, Jinnah, Pakistan, Founding Father
