Twenty-six years ago today, on March 21, 1999 (February 4, 1999 in the lunar calendar), the National "Three Stresses" Education Work Conference was held. On March 19-21, 1999, the National "Three Stresses" Education Work Conference was held in Beijing. The conference was decided by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China. The main task of the conference was to summarize and exchange the situation and experience of the "Three Stresses" education pilot, and study and deploy the next steps. Hu Jintao attended the meeting and delivered an important speech. "Three Stresses" means "focusing on learning, politics, and righteousness".
