101 years ago today, on May 10, 1924 (April 7, 1924, the lunar calendar), an enlarged meeting of the Executive Committee of the CPC Central Committee was held in Shanghai. From May 10 to 15, 1924, an enlarged meeting of the Executive Committee of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China was held in Shanghai. The meeting affirmed the achievements of the cooperation between the Kuomintang and the Communist Party in the past five months, pointed out the right-wing deviation that had emerged in the Communist Party after the realization of the cooperation between the Kuomintang and the Communist Party, and believed that "only by mobilizing workers to participate in the struggle and preventing the compromise of the bourgeoisie can national liberation be complete." This enlarged meeting of the Central Committee proposed that Communist Party members should understand the importance of consolidating the Party in the complex environment inside and outside the Kuomintang. The meeting emphasized the need to adhere to the revolutionary political platform in the manifesto of the First National Congress of the Kuomintang, use this political platform as a standard to correctly handle the struggle between the left and right factions of the Kuomintang, and regularly and universally publicize and implement this political platform to expand the Kuomintang organization, strengthen the left and weaken the right. It also criticized the mistake of adopting a reconciliation policy towards the two factions in the previous work. The meeting raised the importance of the Communist Party's own education and organizational work, called for vigorously developing the Communist Party's organization among industrial workers, criticized the mistake of "not working very hard to absorb workers" in the previous paragraph, and formulated specific measures to strengthen the Party's work. The meeting pointed out that industrial workers are the class foundation of the Communist Party, and establishing and expanding trade union organizations and developing the labor movement are the most important tasks of our party. The meeting also made some specific provisions on how to help the Kuomintang in the trade union movement according to different situations. Based on the complex situation of competing with the Kuomintang rightists for leadership of the workers 'movement, the meeting appropriately adjusted the party's trade union activities and the policy of industrial workers joining the Kuomintang, so that the party would not be excessively restricted when carrying out independent activities and could maintain room for flexibility.
