On this day 58 years ago, on March 16, 1967 (February 6, 1967 lunar calendar), the "61-person traitor group case" was created to attack Liu Shaoqi. On March 16, 1967, the Central Cultural Revolution Group created the "61-person traitor group case" of Bo Yibo, An Ziwen, Yang Xianzhen, etc., as a heavy artillery shell to fire on Liu Shaoqi. In 1936, Liu Shaoqi presided over the work of the Northern Bureau of the Communist Party of China in Tianjin. With the approval of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, Liu Shaoqi instructed the CCP cadres who persisted in the struggle in prison to publish an "anti-communist notice", fulfill the procedures stipulated by the Kuomintang, and be released from prison.
