On this day, 67 years ago, on February 20, 1958 (January 3, 1958 in the lunar calendar), the China People's Volunteers decided to withdraw completely from Korea. On February 20, 1958, the Headquarters of the China People's Volunteer Army issued a statement and decided to withdraw all of Korea in batches before the end of 1958. The first batch left for home on March 15. On October 22, officers and soldiers from the Volunteer Army Headquarters, led by Commander General Yang Yong and Political Commissar General Wang Ping, set off for home. On October 26, the Volunteer Army Headquarters announced that all Volunteers had withdrawn from North Korea.
