Twenty-nine years ago today, on April 24, 1996 (March 7, 1996 in the lunar calendar), the Starlight Project was officially launched. On April 24, 1996, the Chinese star football team and the Chinese sports gold medal team jointly launched the "Starlight Project". The "Starlight Project" is sponsored by the National Sports Commission and the All-China Sports Foundation. It is divided into two actions: student assistance and respect for the elderly.
