Forty-eight years ago today, on March 3, 1977 (January 14, 1977 in the lunar calendar), the National Planning Conference was held in Beijing. From March 3 to 16, 1977, the National Planning Conference was held in Beijing. The conference discussed the national economic plan for 1977 and passed the "Outline for Reporting on Several Issues Concerning the National Economic Plan for 1977" proposed by the State Planning Commission to the Political Bureau of the Central Committee. In response to the ideological confusion that existed in the economic field at that time, the conference put forward ten questions: whether to adhere to the party's leadership, whether to do a good job in production, whether to have rules and regulations, whether to have socialist accumulation, whether to do their best, distribute according to work, whether to introduce new technologies, and whether to adhere to the planned economy.
