887 years ago today, on February 12, 1138 (January 1, 1138 lunar calendar), the Jin Kingdom promulgated the Jurchen script. Jurzhen originally did not have a national script, and first used the Khitan character. After the founding of the People's Republic of China, in order to facilitate the implementation of an executive order, in 1119 (the third year of Jin Tianfu), Minister Wanyan Xiyin was appointed to produce the Jurzhen script. Xiyin made the Jurzhen script with reference to Chinese characters and Khitan rates, and later called it "Jurzhen Big Character". Later, Jin Xizong made a new character on February 12, 1138 (the first day of the first lunar month of the first year of Jin Tianjun), called "Jurzhen Small Character". It was officially promulgated in 1145 AD (the fifth year of the Golden Emperor Reign). Jurchen text has been used to translate Chinese classics, which has played a certain role in the improvement of Jurchen culture and the acceleration of the feudalization of the Jurchen people.
