On this day, 76 years ago, on April 11, 1949 (March 14, 1949, the first National Congress of the New Democratic Youth League of China was held. Since the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China proposed the establishment of the Democratic Youth League in September 1946, after nearly three years of trial building the League, the first National Congress of the New Democratic Youth League of China was held from April 11 to 18, 1949 in Peiping, which had just been peacefully liberated. Ren Bishi delivered a political report on behalf of the CPC Central Committee. The conference adopted resolutions such as the League's charter, the League's work report, and the conclusions of the conference, and elected the first Central Committee of the New Democratic Youth League of China. Feng Wenbin was elected General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League.
