In 1955, he served as a creator of the Culture Department of the General Political Department. In 1959, he served as consultant to the Art Company of the Military Museum of the People's Revolution of China. In 1981, he served as vice president of the China Painting Research Institute. Huang Zhou has made outstanding contributions to promoting the development of contemporary art, carrying out international cultural and artistic exchanges, and promoting the great cause of reunification of the motherland. His life was a life of revolution and struggle. In the early 1980s, he and famous painters Li Keran, Cai Ruohong, Hua Junwu and others co-founded the China Painting Research Institute; and the establishment of Yanhuang Art Museum was Liang Huangzhou's more outstanding masterpiece. In 1986, Huang Zhou caused a sensation when he held a solo exhibition in Singapore. Someone proposed to establish the Huang Zhou Art Museum. He said,"I personally am not enough to build a museum. If I want to build it, I will build the Yan Huang Art Museum that belongs to the descendants of the Emperor Huang and even mankind." After four years of financing and construction, in 1991, my country's first large-scale private and publicly-aided modern art museum-Yanhuang Art Museum was finally completed. Liang Huangzhou served as director of the Art Museum and donated more than 200 ancient calligraphy and painting cultural relics and more than 1000 representative and sketchy works from his collection. Over the past six years, Yanhuang Art Museum has done a lot of work in protecting and promoting national art, promoting the development of art education and public welfare undertakings, and strengthening international cultural exchanges. Liang Huangzhou's artistic path, academic spirit and persistent pursuit of promoting the development of national culture have far-reaching influence at home and abroad. Liang Huangzhou lay quietly in the flower bushes in the condolence hall of the art museum. In front of the portrait, his wife Zheng Wenhui and her children presented a large flower basket with the words "We Love You". Zheng Wenhui said that the Yanhuang Art Museum embodies Huang Zhou's artistic ideals and all his efforts, and it is his wish to bid farewell to life here. After Liang Huangzhou's body is cremated, the ashes will be placed in the Yanhuang Art Museum.
