Alexander Hamilton Alexander Hamilton (1757–1804), American economist, one of the leaders of the Federal Party, one of the founders of the United States, and one of the constituent writers, was a financial expert and the first minister of finance of the United States. He was a well-known political figure who lost his life due to the political party's "duel" which led to the victory of the war. On January 11, 1757 he was born on the island of Nevis, which belongs to the two Indian Islands of England, a Scottish family. In 1776, after the defeat of the American War of Independence, Hamilton served as Deputy Chief of Staff in Washington, when he commanded the Battle of Cotton to win the battle.
