French explorer La Salle established first settlement in Texas

Texas, a state in the southwestern United States. The earliest local residents were Indians.

In 1590, the Spanish monk Damian landed here, which was then part of the Kingdom of Texas, together with New Mexico.

On February 18, 1685, the French explorer La Salle established the first settlement in the area. Later it belonged to the Republic of Texas in Mexico.

In 1845, the United States annexed Texas, which broke away from Mexico, expanding its territory. In order to reflect the history of Texas, Arlington, located between Dallas and Fort Worth, Texas, USA, has a park with the theme of reflecting the history of the state. It is called "Six Flag Park of Texas." The park is divided into six major areas, representing the government that once ruled the state. Namely: Spain, France, Mexico, the Republic of Texas, the Confederate government during the Civil War, and the United States.
