33 years ago today, on February 28, 1992 (January 25, 1992 lunar calendar), the aesthetician Cai Yi passed away. Cai Yi resembled Cai Yi, born in 1906, from Youxian County, Hunan Province. He studied at Peking University. He went to Japan to study in 1929. He returned to China in 1937. He served in the Cultural Work Committee of the Political Department of the Military Committee of the Kuomintang Government, and later taught at Daxia University and North China University. He joined the Communist Party of China in 1945.
