Commemorative stamp of William Kinzl His father, a lawyer, soon became mayor after the family moved to Graz. Ginzl received rigorous piano and violin training from an early age, and in 1874 he went to Vienna to study music under Liszt. Ginzl's works caught the attention of the composer Richard Wagner, who brought him to Beirut. He was very close to the Wagners. But his admiration for Schumann soon aroused Wagner's dissatisfaction, and the two never became friends. But he remained under the banner of Wagner in music composition, and his operas were all based on Wagner's principles. In 1883, he became director of the German Opera in Amsterdam. He has written nine operas, the most important of which is the two-act opera "The Preacher", written and composed by Ginzl, which premiered in Berlin, Germany on May 4, 1895. Earth- shattering wins. The story takes place in the second half of the 19th century in the Benedictine Catholic monastery in Vienna, Austria, and tells the love tragedy caused by two brothers falling in love with the same girl. He also composed the opera "Swiss Pastoral", the tragicomedy "Don Quixote", concertos, chamber music and 120 songs, etc. In 1904, the book "Biography of Richard Wagner" was published. He died in Vienna on October 19, 1941. Kinzl is considered another master of romantic style after Wagner. On July 13, 2007, Austria Post issued a commemorative stamp designed by Adolf Tuma for the 150th anniversary of Kinzl's birth. This stamp has a circulation of 420,000 pieces and a face value of 0.75 euros.
