On this day, 146 years ago, on April 11, 1879 (March 20, 1879, the modern China calligrapher Yu Youren was born. Yu Youren (April 11, 1879-November 10, 1964) was a true calligrapher, a generation of calligraphy saint, patriotic politician and revolutionary in the modern calligraphy history of China. During the Revolution of 1911, he was a famous newspaper activist and educator. He is from Sanyuan, Shaanxi Province, and his ancestral home is Jingyang. Originally known as Bo Xun, the word seductive, after "seductive" homonym "right Ren" name; The name "Old Man" and "Old Man" are used separately. He was a member of the Qing Dynasty Guangxu period and joined the Restoration Association and the Alliance Association in his early years. Since 1907, he has successively founded "Shenzhou Daily" and "Minli Daily" to actively publicize the democratic revolution. He has served successively as Vice Minister of Transportation of the Nanjing Provisional Government, Commander-in-Chief of the National Alliance Forces in Shaanxi, and President of the Audit Institute and the Supervisory Institute. He is an important decision-making figure in the Kuomintang. After 1912, he served as Minister of Transportation of the Nanjing Government, President of the Audit Committee and President of the Supervisory Committee of the National Government, and served as President of the Supervisory Committee for a total of 34 years. Later, he retreated to Taiwan with the Kuomintang. In the 15 years since Yu Youren lived in Taiwan, for the first time, Taiwan's calligraphy trend showed a trend of stele learning overriding museum and pavilion calligraphy. He died of illness in Taipei on November 10, 1964. Yu Youren's tomb is located on Yangming Mountain in Taipei City, and its sculpture is on the main peak of Yushan.
