The Nationalist government dispatched Zhao Pilian, vice chairperson of the Mongolian and Tibetan Committee, to make a special trip to Lanzhou for the chief sacrifice. In order to thwart the conspiracy of some people who tried to steal the Mausoleum of Genghis Khan from the Ordos grassland to the Japanese-puppet occupied area, the Nationalist government moved the Mausoleum of Genghis Khan to the Ancuo of the Taibai White House in Lanzhou in 1941. The ceremony was very grand. The auditorium was located in the main hall of the Mausoleum of Genghis Khan.
