The first National Labor Conference was held on May 1, 1922
On this day, 103 years ago, May 1, 1922 (April 5, 1922, the first National Labor Conference was held. On May 1, 1922, 173 representatives representing more than 110 trade unions and more than 200,000 organized workers across the country participated in the first National Labor Conference held in Guangzhou. Among these representatives are Communist Party members, Kuomintang members and anarchists. The conference was presided over by Zhang Guotao, Director of the Secretariat Department of the Labor Combination of China. The conference decided that before the establishment of the All-China Federation of Trade Unions, the Labor Organization and Secretariat Department of China were the general communication organs of the national workers 'organizations.
