Eighty-eight years ago today, on February 6, 1937 (December 25, 1936), Zhang Guotao reviewed his mistakes to the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China. After Zhang Guotao arrived in Yan'an, on February 6, 1937, Zhang Guotao made a written review of "Looking at the Past Now" to the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China in Yan'an. In the review, it was said that my mistakes were: first, overestimating the subjective mistakes in the five encirclements and suppression campaigns; second, obliterating the heroic struggle of the Central Red Army in the Long March of Miles and the strength of the Bolsheviks; third, doubting the strategic guidelines put forward by the Central Committee; fourth, expressing disacceptance and misunderstanding of the criticisms and instructions of the Central Committee; fifth, organizational opposition. The root cause of the mistake lies in the "development of warlordist tendencies."
