On this day, 100 years ago, on March 1, 1925 (February 7, 1925 in the lunar calendar), the Kuomintang and the Communist Party held a meeting against warlord political divisions. Mao Zedong took a group photo when the Beijing Executive Department of the Kuomintang welcomed all representatives attending the conference in Central Park (now Sun Yat-sen Park) in 1924. On March 1, 1925, the National Congress of the National Conference Promotion Conference jointly sponsored by the Communist Party of China and the Kuomintang was held in Beijing. The purpose of the conference is to oppose the political division of warlords and promote the emergence of a real National Conference. There are more than 200 representatives to the conference, representing more than hundreds of thousands of people in more than 120 local National Conference Promotion Associations. The person who organized and led this conference was Zhao Shiyan, Director of Propaganda of the Northern District Committee of the Communist Party of China.
