On this day 32 years ago, on October 5, 1993 (August 20, 1993 in the lunar calendar), the "Decision on Several Work in the Anti-Corruption Struggle in the Near Future" was issued. On October 5, 1993, the "Decision on Several Work in the Anti-Corruption Struggle in the Near Future" of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council pointed out that the anti-corruption struggle is not only a long-term and arduous task, but also a realistic urgency; it is necessary to carry on resolutely and persistently, but also pay attention to grasping the phased results, step by step to lead the struggle to a deeper level. In response to the current situation, it is decided to focus on the following three tasks in the near future, and achieve obvious results. First, leading cadres of party and government organs should take the lead in integrity and self-discipline. (4) It is not allowed to accept gifts and various securities in enterprise activities, and it is not allowed to accept credit cards presented by subordinate units and other enterprises and institutions, nor is it allowed 5) It is not allowed to use public funds to obtain various forms of club membership, nor to use public funds to participate in high-consumption entertainment activities. II. Investigate and deal with a number of major and important cases. Focus on investigating and handling cases of violations of laws and disciplines by leading cadres of party and government leading organs and judicial departments, administrative law enforcement departments, economic management departments and their staff. III. Hardly put a brake on several groups of people who reflect strong unhealthy tendencies. It is necessary to concentrate efforts across the country to basically stop the unhealthy trend of arbitrary charging, and focus on controlling the state organs and their subordinate departments to turn the business within the scope of their duties into charging items without authorization; to establish projects and expand the scope of charging without authorization, and to raise charging standards; to transfer some functions to subordinate economic entities, and to raise charging standards; to forcibly "serve" some functions and industry monopolies, and to charge high fees; only charge but not serve, blatant extortion and other unhealthy tendencies that use power to make arbitrary charges.
