On this day, 43 years ago, on September 17, 1982 (August 1, 1982 in the lunar calendar), Beijing TV Studio was established in Beijing. On September 17, 1982, Beijing Television Studio, the first professional TV drama production unit in China, was established. This was the predecessor of the Beijing TV Drama Art Center. Zheng Xiaolong, the current director of the art center, started working here after graduating from college in 1982. He said that at that time, the center was separated from Beijing TV Station to specialize in producing TV dramas. At that time, there were only 30 people in the unit, with a camera, and two bungalows were rented in Xibalizhuang. They were still illegally built. However, who knew that it was this simple small group that led the development of TV drama in China in the next 20 years, bringing one climax after another to the development of TV drama art in China. From 1982 to 1984 at the beginning of its operation, the center filmed some influential short dramas of that time, such as "The Great Talent" and "The Air Stewardess". While filming short dramas, what impressed the audience more was its translation department, which launched some popular and popular translated dramas-"Defamation","Female Slave","Bianka", etc. In 1984, the Beijing Television Arts Center, which made the first full-length TV series, launched "Four Generations Together" based on Lao She's masterpiece. It was the first work that brought reputation to the creation of Beijing TV series. It was also the first work that the mainland could compete with Hong Kong and Taiwan TV series and compete for audiences. For Beijing Television Arts Center, this is the beginning of their glorious era. Between 1985 and 1987, the Beijing Television Arts Center created three consecutive titles for the best TV series of the "Flying Sky Award" in China TV series with excellent plays such as "Four Generations Together","Triumph at Midnight" and "Plainclothes Police". This is unique in China. During that period, the first song of the film "Four Generations Together" was sung, the crowd was deserted when "Desire" was broadcast, and the popularity of "The Story of the Editorial Department" was probably remembered by the audience forever. "Beijingers in New York" is the first TV Arts Center series filmed overseas with its own assets as collateral, full loans. The center conducted a ratings survey at the beginning of the show's broadcast. The show's ratings are 57% in Beijing and 70% in Shanghai, making it an insurmountable height for China's TV series in the future. In 1995, the center signed contracts with 28 provincial TV stations across the country to launch China's first domestic TV drama boutique theater,"Ivy League Theater." The annual TV series broadcasts more than 300 episodes and the number of viewers reaches 800 million. So far, Beijing Television Arts Center has produced more than 2000 episodes of TV series, becoming the leading professional film and television production entity in the national television industry, with an annual output of more than 400 episodes of TV series. When Wang Shuo called Jin Yong the four major customs, he listed the four corresponding pillars of "we": one is literature in the new era, the other is rock and roll, the third is generations of teachers and students of the Beijing Film Academy, and the fourth is the past ten years of the Beijing Television Art Center.
