On this day, 52 years ago, on January 27, 1973 (December 24, 1972, the lunar calendar), Vietnam and the United States signed the Paris Agreement on Vietnam. The Vietnam peace agreement was signed in Paris. From left to right, the North Vietnamese delegation's Chun Tho, Le Duc Tho and U.S. Secretary of State Henry Kissinger participated in the "Paris Conference on the Question of Vietnam" on January 27, 1973. The four parties (Vietnam, the United States, the Provisional Revolutionary Government of the Republic of South Vietnam, and the Saigon Regime) formally signed the "Agreement on Ending the War and Restoring Peace in Vietnam" in Paris. In 1965, the United States was fully involved in the Vietnam War, but casualties began to be counted from 1961.
