NVIDIA plans to invest up to $100 billion in OpenAI (data chart)

On September 22, local time, NVIDIA and OpenAI announced a landmark strategic partnership. Through this strategic partnership, NVIDIA will build and deploy at least 10 GW of AI data centers equipped with millions of NVIDIA GPUs to build the next generation of AI infrastructure. To support deployment plans including data centers and power capacity, NVIDIA will invest up to $100 billion in OpenAI during the new system¡¯s landing.

The first phase of the NVIDIA system aims to be deployed on the Vera Rubin platform in the second half of 2026.

Nvidia and OpenAI are expected to finalize the specific details of the new phase of their strategic cooperation in the coming weeks.
