On this day, 35 years ago, on May 13, 1990 (April 19, 1990 in the lunar calendar), a large-scale fighting broke out in a football match in Yugoslavia. On May 13, 1990, when the "Red Star" football team of the Republic of Serbia of Yugoslavia and the "Engine" team of the Republic of Croatia were playing a game at the Maximir Stadium in Zagreb, the capital of Croatia, fans of the two teams, Serbian youth and Croatian youth broke out for 55 minutes. The two teams of fans fought from the stands to the football field, attacking each other with chairs, rocks, and some with knives and firearms. Some players and police were also involved. The fierce fighting prevented the game and injured 61 people, including 27 police.
