January 27, 1926 TV was born
On this day, 99 years ago, on January 27, 1926 (December 14, 1925), the television was born. John Baird and his television transmission device On January 27, 1926, Scottish inventor John Baird demonstrated to the Fellows of the Royal Academy in London a new type of machine capable of transmitting moving images by radio. Baird called his invention "television." Instead of a traditional movie projector, this machine electronically displayed images on a cathode ray tube, which had been developed in England for scientific research. Observers who watched the show said that the quality of the images was not as good as that of the film, but they regarded this as only the first stage of the invention. Baird said that one day, it will turn every home into a small movie theater. Thus was born the most influential mass media of the 20th century.
