On this day, 29 years ago, on March 1, 1996 (January 12, 1996 in the lunar calendar), the Civil Aviation Law of the People's Republic of China officially came into effect. The Civil Aviation Law of the People's Republic of China was reviewed and adopted at the 16th meeting of the Standing Committee of the Eighth National People's Congress on October 30, 1995 and will come into effect on March 1, 1996. This is the first law to regulate civil aviation activities since the founding of the People's Republic of China and is a major event in the history of the development of civil aviation in my country. The promulgation of the Civil Aviation Law provides a strong legal guarantee for safeguarding the country's airspace sovereignty and civil aviation rights, ensuring the safe and orderly conduct of civil aviation activities, protecting the legitimate rights and interests of all parties involved in civil aviation activities, and promoting the development of civil aviation.
