On this day, 67 years ago, on March 26, 1958 (February 7, 1958, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China Working Conference ended. From March 8 to 26, 1958, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China held a working meeting in Chengdu attended by the heads of relevant central departments and the first secretaries of the party committees of all provinces, cities and autonomous regions. Nearly 40 documents including the "Opinions on the Second Account of the 1958 Plan and Budget","Opinions on Developing Local Industrial Issues" and "Opinions on Properly Merging Small Agricultural Cooperatives into Large Cooperatives" were discussed and approved. Mao Zedong delivered many speeches at the meeting, continuing to criticize and oppose reckless advance, and pointed out that the general line of building socialism of "mobilizing all our energy, striving to advance, and saving as quickly as possible" has basically taken shape. The speech proposed that there are still so-called two exploiting classes in our country (one is the remnants of imperialism, feudalism, bureaucratic capitalism and the bourgeois rightists; the other is the national bourgeoisie and its intellectuals) and two working classes (workers, farmers).
