Frederick Francesc Chopin was born on March 1, 1810, in the Warsaw suburb of Zerazowa Wola. His father was a French teacher at a secondary school in Warsaw, and his mother was Polish and worked as a housekeeper in the family of a noble relative. Chopin learned piano as a child from a Czech musician, W. Zivni, and began playing publicly at the age of 8. In 1824, he studied music theory under J.A.F. Elsner, a German musician and president of the Warsaw Conservatory. After graduating from high school in 1826, he entered the Warsaw Conservatory of Music and began his early creative activities. He graduated from the Academy in 1829. In March 1830, Chopin performed his early masterpiece "Piano Concerto No. 2" (F minor) in Warsaw, and in October of the same year, he performed another masterpiece "Piano Concerto No. 1" (E minor) at a farewell concert in Warsaw, both of which were successful. After 1831, he settled in Paris and engaged in piano performance teaching and creative activities. The creation involves various genres of piano music, from etudes, preludes, mazucas, poloneez, nocturne, waltzes, impromptu, to ballahs, scherzo, sonatas with more complex structures, have achieved fruitful artistic results. He died at his home in Paris on October 17, 1849. On his deathbed, he ordered his heart to be transported back to his native Poland for burial. Chopin's music has a strong Polish national style. He takes a very serious attitude towards national folk music and opposes the pursuit of oddities. At the same time, he is not bound by it and always strives to understand its characteristics and recreate it.
