The Law of the People's Republic of China on the Protection of the Rights and Interests of Women was adopted by the Fifth Session of the Seventh National People's Congress on April 3, 1992, and was officially implemented on October 1, 1992.The Decision of the Seventh Session of the Standing Committee of the Tenth National People's Congress on August 28, 2005 on the Amendment of the Law of the People's Republic of China on the Protection of the Rights and Interests of Women was adopted, and the newly amended official implementation of the Law of the People's Republic of China on December 1, 2005.
