The first Russian Tsar Ivan IV was born.

Ivan IV Vasilyevich (August 25, 1530 – March 18, 1584), also known as Ivan the Terrible or Ivan the Great, was the son of Vasily III and Elena Grinskaya.The first tsar in Russian history.He was Grand Duke of Moscow from 1533 to 1547, and Tsar from 1547 to 1584.

When Ivan IV was three years old, his mother temporarily reigned, and was crowned Tsar in 1547. After he began to rule, he established a Council of Ministers in 1549 and compiled a new code. In 1549–1560 the political, administrative, legal, financial, military, religious and other aspects of the central and local government were reformed. Starting in 1547, Ivan IV exercised dictatorial rule. Eliminated the dominant regime, established the tsarist authoritarian regime, combated local sectarian forces, united Russia, and established central centralism.
