On November 13, 1995, an explosion occurred in the city center of Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, killing six people and wounding sixty. The explosion occurred on an empty area used for parking, surrounded by a building. Four of the dead were Americans. After the explosion, the site was immediately blocked. Saudi Arabia News Agency quoted a statement from the Saudi Ministry of Internal Affairs as suggesting that the explosion was man-made.
