A powerful explosion destroyed the southwestern part of the King David Hotel in Jerusalem, where the British office was located. More than 100 people were killed, and the Zionist guerrilla led by Menahem-Beking, known as the ¡°National Army Organization,¡± claimed responsibility for the attack.
