Kim Shui (July 14, 1895 ¨C October 19, 1984) was born in Hunan, China, a famous philosopher, logic scientist, and representative of the New Doors. Graduated from Beijing Qinghai School, then studied in the United States. After studying political science at the University of Pennsylvania and Columbia University, he received a PhD in Politics at the University of Colombia. After studying in England, Germany, France and other countries and engaged in research work, he returned to the country in 1925. In 1926 he founded the Department of Philosophy of the University of Qinghai with Feng Feng Lan and others. After 1955, he became a senior researcher, deputy director of the Institute of Philosophy of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and a member of the Department of Philosophy and Social Sciences, engaged in the teaching, research and organizational leadership of philosophy and logic. Kim Yong Li is the main figure of introducing modern Western logic to China, he combined Western philosophy with Chinese philosophy, established a unique philosophical system, and developed a large number of highly educated philosophical and logicological specialists. He wrote The Thought, Logic and Knowledge Theory. With three works, he established his position in the Chinese philosophy, in which The Knowledge Theory was the first to build a complete knowledge theory system in the history of Chinese philosophy.
