Today, fifty years ago, on June 6, 1975 (April 27, 1975) the African, Caribbean and Pacific Group of Nations decided to establish the Economic Coalition Organization, which was held at the Ministerial Conference of the African, Caribbean and Pacific Developing Countries in Georgetown, Guiana, from June 5 to 6, 1975. By 1993, there were 69 member states. The purpose was to ensure the achievement of the LOMCE Agreement; to promote trade, economic ties and cooperation between member states and all developing countries, to strengthen economic cooperation and to promote the establishment of a new international economic order. Mainly the Council of Ministers and the Committee of Ambassadors, the Secretariat assisted the above-mentioned agencies.
