Today, 70 years ago, on December 27, 1955 (November 14, 1955) the first automated hydroelectric power plant in China began to generate electricity. On December 27, 1955, the first automated hydroelectric power plant in Beijing, located next to the water tank, was built to generate electricity. The hydroelectric power plant began to be built in April 1954, and was built three months earlier than originally planned. It relied mainly on the power generation of the water tank of the Beijing office, which has a capacity of 22,7 million cubic meters, and can generate electricity annually equivalent to the electricity generated by more than 100,000 tons of coal. The entire hydroelectric power plant project consists of a water tunnel, a cave, a main factory, a central control room, and can automatically control the import of tunnel water.
