Chen, born on August 5, 1992 in Yunnan Province, Dongguan County, a former Chinese men's field racing athlete.

On August 5, 2012, Chen won the championship in the London Olympic men's 20km race with a score of 1 hour 18 minutes and 46 seconds, and broke the Olympic record, becoming the second Chinese male athlete to win gold in the Olympic field.

In May 2008, Chen won the Asian Army in the 10 km race for men at the World Cup, winning the only medal for the Chinese competition team.

In May 2012, Chen broke the national record and won the Army of Asia in the 20 km race for men at the World Cup.
