Genocide in Detroit on June 22, 1943.
In the evening of 82 years ago, on 22 June 1943 (Lunar Calendar 20 May 1943), a racial riot occurred in Detroit. The tragedy after the riot was inspected by the Black District of Detroit. On 22 June 1943, U.S. federal forces entered Detroit to help restore the order after the racial riot. During this riot, 29 people were killed and hundreds seriously injured. This was the largest racial riot in the United States since World War II. The reason for the riot was unknown after U.S. President Roosevelt issued the announcement, when a full-armed army was immediately ordered to enter Detroit to maintain the stability of the chaotic industrial city.
