Early in the morning of December 20, 2005, the U.S. New York Bus Workers' Union announced that the city bus system began to strike, transporting 7 million metros and buses a day and therefore bringing great discomfort to New York citizens and tourists. The strike lasted three days, causing a total of $1 billion to New York.
