Pope Urban II announced the start of the Crusade

Urbano II announces the start of the Crusade

On November 27, 1095, at the Clemens Conference, Pope Urban II officially announced the launch of the First Crusade. At the Clemens Conference, 14 archbishops, 200 bishops, more than 400 monastic presidents, 5 Dukes, 14 Countys attended, and thousands of knights, clergy, and slaves and civilians gathered outside the venue. Urban II called for armies from all European countries to recover the holy land occupied by the Turks, Jerusalem, and announced that the First Crusade Army will depart to the east next spring.

Religious conflict is often a trick to shift its own internal contradictions.
