Today, 30 years ago, on September 13, 1995 (August 19, 1995) the U.S. Embassy in Russia was hit by rockets. On September 13, 1995 at about 17:30 pm Moscow time, the U.S. Embassy in Russia was suddenly hit by rockets. The rocket hit the walls of the sixth floor of the U.S. Embassy building. A few hours after the incident, U.S. Embassy Press Commissioner Hogland told reporters on the scene that he knew a masked man was attacked by anti-tank rockets on the embassy building. He said that the embassy personnel were not injured, and the inside of the building was not damaged. When reporters asked about the political background of the incident, Hogland refused to answer.
