It seems impossible for a blind child from childhood to grow up and become a world-renowned great writer, but in real life it does happen, he is the famous Egyptian writer and literary critic Tah Hussein. Taha Hussein was born on November 14, 1889, in a small village near the small town of Magaca on the southern Nile River on the left bank of Egypt. His father worked as an employee in a sugar company, had low wages, had a lot of children, and lived extremely hard. Taha was intelligent and lively from childhood, and was blind at 3 years of age because of an unfortunate eye disease. But Taha never surrendered to fate, and he fought for his destiny with a strong will. He started by reading the Qur’an, overcame difficulty, studied stubbornly, and at the age of 25 received a Ph.D. degree at the Egyptian University. Then he returned to France to study, and asked a French girl to teach him French, and read books for him. After the end of World War I, Taha completed his studies in France and returned to Egypt to teach at the University of Egypt. He translated and introduced the literary arts of Greece, Rome and the fruitful achievements of the European Renaissance, organized and studied the ancient cultural heritage of Arabs and explored the path to the development of new Egyptian literature. In 1926 he published a book entitled The Poetry of the Age of Immaculate, a comprehensive explanation of his literary claims. In his book he put forward the slogan “Everything begins from the beginning” and was thus attacked by a group of conservatives. Taha persisted in writing and created a large number of outstanding works, especially his self-styled novel “Day”, which represented his thought and style and was considered an important mil Thaha, the faithful son of the Arab people, was very concerned about changing the backdrop of the Arab country.
