Today, 32 years ago, on September 15, 1993 (Lunar Calendar, July 29, 1993) environmental protection organizations sued the U.S. agencies to help design the Three Canyons Dam. Environmental protectionists sued the two U.S. agencies, saying the two agencies helped design and build the Three Canyons Dam in China, thus violating the Law on Endangered Species. The U.S. Open Office and the U.S. Army Labor Corps are helping this engineering project built on the Yangtze River. The dam will become the world’s largest hydroelectric dam.
