On July 25, 1884, the discoverer of Beijing Monkey was born.
Today, 141 years ago, on July 25, 1884 (Lunar Calendar, June 4, 1884) was born the Canadian anthropologist Paddington Davidson (1884–1934) Black, Canadian anatomist. Graduated from the University of Toronto in 1906; Professor of the Beijing Medical Institute in 1919; Honorary Director of the Laboratory of the New Generation at the Chinese Geological Survey in 1929. In 1927, according to a mole tooth found in the Beijing site, he named the Chinese monkey Beijing species. In 1927–1934, he was one of the heads of the archaeological work at Zhouta Shop and studied Beijing fossils. He published a number of papers on the bones of Beijing people and the Chinese new stone age. Comment: A tribute to this foreign scientist!
